Medical cannabis is produced to ‘Good Manufacturing and Distribution Practices’ by manufactures that are accredited by the medicines regulator. This means they are classed as a medicine and may be used to treat medical illnesses. The quality of these products are at ‘pharmaceutical grade’. Medical cannabis comes in a range of forms: oils that may be put under the tongue, dried cannabis that in inhaled using a vapouriser device, ointments or creams for the skin as well as oil filled capsules.
